Whitstable Yacht Club

Welcome to the WYC

Whitstable Yacht Club is one of the oldest and largest sailing clubs in England. The Club is situated on the north coast of Kent where the Thames Estuary meets the North Sea. WYC offers sailing in sheltered waters at all times of the tide for catamarans, dinghies, and windsurfers with yachts in nearby creeks which dry out.

Security - Update

We have now installed new combination locks on the door to the gents changing room and adjusted the door closers to work more effectively. We have also changed the security codes on both doors and you will be able to obtain the new code from our bar staff. Please do not be offended if our staff ask if you are a member. May I once again remind you all to ensure that the door is firmly shut behind you! WYC

Security at the Club

Following on from the previous posting, It has come to our knowledge that the outside door to the gents' changing rooms is constantly being left on the latch to allow easy access into the changing rooms. The keypad is there for security reasons and should not (in any circumstance) be left open. WYC

Security Alert

Items of value have been reported missing from the gents’ changing room recently. Please take no risks with your money and valuables. Lock them away or ask someone to look after them for you. Be particularly vigilent and report any suspicious people or behaviour, especially during racing hours.
