This message is not meant to upset or offend anyone - especially everyone who makes my sailing possible, safe and enjoyable!
(I think that covers it)

Todays race was cancelled due to only 1 safety boat being available

A similar thing happened on the last Wednesday evening race when the saftey boat could not be started

I understand and fully respect why these difficult decisions are taken, our safety!

Like most, I am also aware that engines/boats have been stolen and that is why things are iffy at the moment
but that was 4 weeks ago

Can someone explain what is happening?
If there is a delay in replacing the missing equipment, why?
Is there anything that we as members can do to help?

If we cannot cover races like today, then perhaps they should have been cancelled before the day

Is there any question of safety cover for the August Regatta?

Should our race programme be put on hold?

hello… good luk every1 who is goin to the nationals in poole.. Hopefully u should get sum realie gd results.

u probs wnt get this till they are well in the past but n e wai… ND meia nd elin.. keep the boat in 1 piece this tym lol! HEHE no only joking i no it was windy nd they shouldnt hav send u out..

the real question is.. WHOS GOIN TO WIN OUT OF U GUYS??
will it be meia nd elin who hav had some blinders with there new boat, mali and her crew with her consitant results, hannah and josh who have had respectable wins with there tuned up racing machine, Siohaon and ruth who sailed realie well at the previous nationals tht was posponed Or will it be dan and tristan who have many yrs of experiance in the boat which lead them at the very top of the bronze fleet last yr in brightlinsea…

Its a job to say who it will be but im sure it will be close!!!

Hi all

I am looking to gain some crewing experience before buying a boat / joining the club, as well as gaining the chance to get to know people. I have sailed Toppers, Fireballs and Lasers before and have had some some race experience. As a teacher I am on summer holidays at the moment and therefore am free during the week, as well as weekends to crew. I am lightweight (7and a half stone) and can be contacted by e-mail or phone.

Sadly we seem to have a problem with thieves again. My daughter had proprty stolen from the Ladies’ changing room despite the new keypad locks. Worth keeping your valuables safe.
