I’m taking my Dart 18 down to Falmouth. Any suggestions for the best route? Google maps says M3 then A303 (333 miles, 6:15 hours) but the A303 is a rotten road IIRC. Alternatively, M4 then M5 (370 miles, 6:25 hours). Just to make it worse, I’ll be leaving late on a Friday afternoon.

Thanks
Richard

I used to work in Wiltshire and know these routes well.  It’s 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.  The A303/A30 is much improved and that is the way we always go to Salcombe. Friday evening is not a good time to travel past Stonehenge which is the worst part so you may be better with the M4, but go via M3, across to Bracknell then to the the M4.  Good luck.

Easy Jet to Newquay, but excess baggage may hurt a bit!
