Someone found an old tobacco tin, with money inside, in the mens changing room over the Merlin weekend. They kindly handed it in and it has been returned to the owner.
The tin belongs to Alan Jackson, the well known Essex boat and mast builder. The tin is of more sentimental value than the money as he can’t afford a wallet. He has asked me to pass on his thanks to whoever it was who found it - and would like to say thank you personally when he comes to Whitstable Week - so whoever it was could they contact me please.
Very many thanks
John Cooper
