1.  We have a new member joining the fleet.  Jon Fish has sent an application to join the club.  He is known to us as he sailed around with Phil and me at the last championships.  Please make him welcome when he arrives.

2.  Mike Fitzpatrick is not very well.  Get well soon Mike.

3.  Congratulations to Chris and Tom who won the Grafham Grand Prix (Slow Handicap Division) against a strong merlin turnout.

4.  Sophie, Gary, Charlie and I are all racing Lasers at Westbere.

5.  Finally - quite old news: congratulations to Dan and Helen on the safe arrival of Jacob.

Thanks John and Chris for the get well messages and, yes, I am.
It is probably a South African nasty bug what gets in one’s guts and liver and has a party.
Here’s a laugh for you - I spent last week in bed in a chalet in Meribel after collapsing at Chambery airport.
Now much improved after ultra sound scan with two beautiful young women rubbing my tum with a glass ball covered in jelly this morning.
Thinking of folowing up Chris’s lead with next new Merlin named Liver and Onions or somesuch.
Back to the real world soon.
Mike
