Hi All,

The highlight of our season is fast approaching, no not a decent days sailing weather, but the Forts Race. I have read various things saying that it is now a TT event, which means round the cans racing as well as the feature race, which is great. Can anyone confirm this and on which day would the Forts Race be held, as given the crappy weather this year it would be a gamble not to have the main race on the Saturday in case Sundays was cancelled.

Hi Laurie, There is a rumour that this has turned into an F18 TT which was news to me at the AGM in Weymouth. The best person to contact is Nic Dewhirst as this tends to be his Baby… You are right in as far as the Forts Race should be on the Saturday giving Sunday as the back up not just because of the weather but also no-one is going to want to wipe out there cat. in a TT and have to give up the Forts, however I think what is done is done and Sunday is the day...Check with Nic.

As much as it goes against the grain though we do need to support the TT if possible as there is interest in holding the F18 Nats at the club in 2010 and so far there has been a distinct lack of boats appearing at the TT’s this season.

Forget everything I just said coz its on the clubs web site.......All very confusing but I am sure someone on the day will know what is going on and it willbe just the rest of us still on the beach rigging up at the start of the race
