So here we go again, a mild start to the day but with very little wind… I fact no wind at all!! There were a few odd puffs (if you call them puffs) as we drifted around the lake…

Turnout was down, but talent was not. So your author, Kym, Lee, Charlie and Colin Smith sailed Lasers with Bob and Willie in their Albacore. An ambitious course was set taking the fleet right around the lake, but the reality proved rather different! Lee persuaded Richard to move no 6 closer to the startline - good move - and the fleet drifted toward it at a snails pace. Your author made it round first, ahead of Kym and Lee, but anything could happen and did. Kym ‘flew’ past lee and was on your authors tail at the leeward mark. Kym went on to lead Lee and Charlie to B (don’t ask), but the next ‘run’ proved another turnaround with Kym just leading from your fast (??) recovering author. The fleet were hugely grateful for a change of course missing 9 and 1, so it was back to no 7 and what turned out to be the finish…A small puff and places were changed again with your author wizzing (not) back to the front and off to the finish.. Sometime later we trailed in, Kym 2nd and Lee 3rd grateful to not be doing a further lap…

So who’s winning overall?? It’s tight at the top between your author and Kym. In short (I think) If Kym wins next week he’ll probably take the series on a better discard… But then I could be wrong..

Do we care? You bet!!!
