Hi everyone,

This isn’t work related and very short notice!

I thought it would be good fun to get a WYC league going.  Some of you will know how a Fantasy Football team works but to summarise.....you pay £5 to the Daily Telegraph to register your team.  You are given a budget of £50m to spend on players from around the world to form your fantasy football team.  Every time one of your chosen players scores a goal, sets up a goal, make an appearance etc. you are awarded points.  These points are added up and your position on the league table (across the country as well as your own private leagues) is published by the Daily Telegraph.  THE DEADLINE IS 3PM TODAY (FIRST MATCH) - SORRY IF YOU HAVE MISSED THE BOAT!!

The Daily Telegraph have made it even easier for those who know zero about football - they have given an auto-select button (it takes one minute) and the machine will automatically select for you.  When you have registered your team - for example, my team are called “Mel’s Boys” - you can then join a league.  I have created a league called Whitstable YC - the pin number is 8005133.

I thought a bit of friendly competition off the water might be fun.  Anyway, the link is http://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/worldcup.  If this doesn’t work, search for “Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football”.  It means that IF England are knocked out, you will still be interested in what’s happening.

Do it quickly!

Mel
