New Asia Pacific Champion

Congratulations to Max Hunt for becoming the "Asia Pacific Masters Radial Master Champion". He won the event in Thailand earlier this month. Well done Max!

Congratulations to Whitstable Mirrors

Three Whitstable Mirrors won the "Kent Travellers Mirror Team Trophy" at the Mirror Nationwide Open Meeting at Chipsted Sailing Club last weekend. This was the first time that any Whitstable Mirrors have ever won the team trophy which started in 1977. The Whitstable team consisted of Meia and Elin Harnett, Mali Harnett and Isabelle Bruton and Drystan Harnett and Midge Watkins. Well done to the team.

Hi everyone, If you have any photos you wish to disply on the WYC Facebook page then please forward these to the office. Obviously anything offensive or inappropriate will not be displayed. I look forward to seeing your photos. Melanie. WYC

WORKING PARTY HEROES

A huge thank you to everyone who turned up on Saturday to help out. It definitely was the Club at its best.......we even ran out of chilli there were so many of you (sorry about that!). It has made such a huge difference and we have saved a lot of money not having to pay for professional help which leaves more to spend on the important things. What a great start to the season! See you all on the water. WYC

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Please note from Easter weekend there will be a change to bar opening hours. The bar will re-open Monday to Thursday lunchtimes from 12pm to 2.30pm. Evenings, Fridays and weekends remain unchanged. Food will be available at lunchtimes.

Working Party - 13 March - 10am

The annual Working Party is scheduled to take place this Saturday. This is a great way to start off the season and meet old and new friends. I am trying to co-ordinate this event as there is rather a lot to do this year. We are looking for a "crack team" to paint the gents and ladies changing rooms. If you are interested in being on this team, please would you let me know beforehand as I am meeting with the foreman in charge of painting, decorating and repairing (Roy Hamilton) on Wednesday for a chat - it would be good to know what we are working with to enable us to put together a plan. Free refreshments (soft drinks/coffee) and a bowl of chilli will be available for anyone helping out. I know it's a bit of hard work but the atmosphere is always fantastic. Hope to see you all on Saturday. Many thanks. Melanie (01227 272942).
