WYC - Lets Look At Boats

This week WYC had a chance to "strutt our stuff" at the Whitstable Oyster Festival by putting on a grand display of fully rigged boats from several classes. A big thank you to Alicia, Siobhian, Ed, Will, Matthew, Tom, Steve, Daniel, Kate, Alison and Wendy who gave up their time to chat to passers by and to Paul George who masterminded the event. WYC

Congratulations to Gavin and Mark - our Wanderer National Champions 2010

Gavin Barr and Mark Skipper won the Wanderer National Championship at the club at the weekend from a fleet of 19 boats. The racing could not have been closer, and the icing on Gavin's cake was that he beat his son Tim into second place! This is the fourth time Gavin has been Wanderer national champion. Thanks to all club members who helped us out with last weekend's Wanderer Nationals. It is not possible to run any open event without volunteers and we really appreciate those who gave up their valuable time to help us have a great event. Mark Fagg, event organiser.
