Family and Cadet Free Sailing

We are pleased to announce the first Family & Cadet Free Sailing session of 2014 - sailing organised by volunteer parents for their children.
11th May 2014
1pm - 3pm
Check the cadet noticeboard to find out where the 1pm briefing will be held.
Boats should be rigged and everyone changed before briefing.
There will be two club Mirrors available for use and a course will be laid, for people to sail around.
In the event of poor weather, on-shore activities such as quizzes and colouring will be available in the Sea Room.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND ON 11TH MAY, PLEASE EMAIL ANDREA OLIVER SO WE HAVE AN IDEA OF NUMBERS.
Current Family and Cadet programme:
11th May 1-3pm Family FreeSailing and Social.
25thMay 5pm Social bring and share BBQ.
8th June 12.30pm- 2pm Family FreeSailing and Social bring and share BBQ.
21st June 4-6pm Family FreeSailing and Social.
Wednesday of Whitstable Week, 30th July Splash Day.
August & September dates TBC.
Family & Cadet Free Sailing gives you the opportunity to go afloat, subject to conditions, knowing that safety cover is provided. Cadets remain the responsibility of their parents at all times. It is the parents decision whether conditions suitable for their child(ren). Sailors must be signed in on the Family & Cadet Free Sailing Sign in Sheet, stating parents name and where they will be at WYC. The sailing area will be confirmed in briefing, based on conditions and safety cover. There will be no coaching from the safety boat. Parents should support their children’s sailing. Safety Cover for the session is provided for those who sign in, and remain in the Sailing Area.
