Whitstable Week - Day 5

Friday was the final day of this year's Whitstable Week at Whitstable Yacht Club, and it was a great final day. Two races were held on the water, in slightly stronger winds than predicted, but at a Force 2-3 it made a nice change from the wind earlier in the week, and also gave the younger cadets (and some of the parents!) an opportunity to go for a sail close to shore. The sailors came back to shore to a BBQ, and prize giving was held at 7pm, followed by the closing band The Nagasaki 3.
This year's Whitstable Week saw 54 boats entering the racing, and 83 sailors taking part. On the Wednesday, we had 14 cadet boats on the water, with 22 cadets taking part. The overall winner of the week was Charles Campion, sailing his Laser in a very competitive fleet.
