The 2026 sailing programme is now published on the website https://www.wyc.org.uk/sailing-schedule/ and will shortly be available in the 2026 Handbook. The sailing committee has listened to the views of sailors in creating the programme which we hope will give all members a great year’s sailing.
Our sailing is run by volunteers and this year most active members are rostered for two duties. Please add your allocated dates to your calendar as our programme can’t take place without you! Should you be unavailable for your allocated dates please arrange a swap and advise both your fleet captain and the office so we can track who to expect when.
There are eight dinghy cruises – these are listed as either Saturday or Sunday of each weekend to give weather flexibility – details will be advised prior to the weekend via the cruising WhatsApp group. There are also four Kayak and SUP in company dates scheduled with Kerry Collins once again leading.
The busy Cadet and Improver sessions run from April to October and there’s CadetFest in August and our Transition to Racing course will take place during May followed by some ‘coached’ races to help bridge the gap between Improvers and our racing programme.
Finally, we have the most vibrant racing programme in the southeast – 83 series races, a range of regatta’s including Whitstable Week, the Club Championships, Laserfest and open meetings for Merlins, Tasars, Toppers, B14’s, Dart 18’s, Wayfarers and the Wanderer nationals!

None of our events can take place without the help of our volunteer members many of whom go well beyond what is required for which we are very grateful – please take note of your own duty allocations – our programme cannot function without everyone playing their part.
