With six races from a possible eight completed and some breezy Sundays there was strong competition and thrilling racing, particularly in the Laser fleet.
Congratulations to Simon Hadley who took the Lasers and newcomer Ben McVeigh who won the Radial prize. The All-in-Handicap was headed by Robert Govier and David Figgis in various Tornados, followed by Joe Barton who finished second and took the Topper prize.
The last two races were windy and cold – well done to the hardy who had a couple of great races and entertained with the odd swim or two!
None of our racing can take place without our volunteers, especially the safety boat crews. It was fitting that they were recognised at the prizegiving with Matt Young’s massive effort of 51 duties rewarded with a Gold Bar Card charged with a few free drinks. Thanks to you all!
