Oysters and Fizz

Whitstable Yacht Club sponsors holidaycottages.com invite you to relax after sailing is done and enjoy the early evening on the deck with our bargain priced deal of five oysters and two glasses of fizz for just £12 – Free if you’ve paid for all five days of Whitstable Week! Holidaycottages.com have generously contributed to the costs of the event to make it affordable for all.

John Crickmere will be shucking oysters from West Whelks on the deck from around 6pm and you will be able to garnish them with lemon, Tabasco or sauce mignonette.

Our fizz is provided by Yotes Court, a boutique vineyard near Maidstone. They have kindly discounted one of their most well-regarded vintage Champagne style sparkling wines, Cuvee Annie Power 2021. Produced using the same method as Champagne this is an elegant, full-bodied fizz which will pair perfectly with West Whelks oysters, also provided at a generous discount.

For anyone who isn’t partial to oysters, there will be olives and other nibbles to enjoy with a couple of glasses of a top-notch sparkling wine.

Following on from this, club member and local musician Tim Barton will start his acoustic set on the deck to conclude a perfect evening.
