Charity Thanksgiving Dinner with David Lowes & Donna Header
Join David Lowes & Donna Header for a very special Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday November 26 at 7.30pm. As you will know we lost Donna’s husband Ian this year and this event will give thanks for the friendship and warmth Ian showed so many during his many years at Whitstable Yacht Club. Fittingly, the event will raise money for Cancer Research UK.
One time Commodore David was previously a professional chef and so he he and Donna, who has brought recipes over from America, have a veritable feast in store.
The Menu:
Main courses:
• Roast turkey with gravy
• Spinach and feta en croûte
Side dishes:
• Mashed potatoes
• Cornbread
• Vegetarian-friendly dressing/stuffing
• Green bean casserole
• Sweet potato casserole with marshmallows
Desserts:
• Pecan pie
• Pumpkin pie
• Apple pie
