Monday 28th July - Friday 1st August 2014

Download the Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions (amendment to 17 - Scoring System. 11Jun) and Entry Form.

Series racing starts at 14.00 hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

  • Committee boat starts.
  • 2 races back-to-back each day.
  • 8 races in the series, 6 to count.
  • Prize-giving on Friday afternoon soon after the finish of the last race.
  • Prizes for the top places in each eligible class, as well as special prizes for outstanding achievements.

Registration takes place on the deck on Monday from 11.00 onwards, and from 12.00 each day on other days of the week.

Visitors to the Yacht Club are welcome, and we regularly host visiting sailors for the week, both from local Kent sailing clubs, and from as far afield as Yorkshire and Scotland. Whitstable offers some of the best sailing conditions in the south-east, with great fleet racing (especially the Tasars, Lasers and Cats), and the town is also a great holiday destination for shopping, restaurants, and pubs. There's plenty of space to park your boat, a great chandlery right next door, and you can find details of accommodation here

Pirate Day:

Pirate Day Wednesday is rest day for the series, but there'll still be plenty to do. Wednesday is a day for getting the families and cadets to the club for a Pirate themed day of shore based fun for the younger children, and on the water challenges for the older children.
At the club, there will be the children's bouncy castle from 10am, and pirate themed crafts and fun on the beach from 1pm. There will be a fun race from 2pm, with a cadet on every boat racing, and a set of on the water challenges for the cadets following the race. Come along and join the fun!
