Welcome to the new WYC website!
Our intention is to modernise the club’s digital shop window with a site that is elegant and modern, easy to navigate, has better shop functionality, is quick to load and will adapt to all devices.
The old site gets an amazing amount of traffic with over 200K page views from 22.5K users so far this year and its perhaps no surprise that the webcam is the busiest page with over 60% of page views. The webcam remains prominent in the new site and we’ve added a weather station (thanks Jeremy) and tides to give a more complete picture of conditions.
Many members have complained that Bookwhen is difficult to use – we agree! The new site has an online membership application system that can handle either BACS payment or credit cards, and there will be a new booking system for training courses and social events that is a whole lot easier to use.
We hope you find the site meets its objectives and projects a positive image for the club.
